Set a fixed or percentage deposit per service, then set the cancellation policy clients read before they pay. Deposits are on Core and above.
Set the deposit on a service

- None — the client pays everything at the salon.
- Fixed — a set amount, for example £10. It can never exceed the service price.
- Percentage — from 1 % to 100 % of the price, rounded down to the penny. 25 % of a £65 root tint is £16.25.
With a deposit set, a booking for that service is held as pending until the client pays, then confirmed. The confirmation shows the deposit paid and the balance due at the salon.

One policy for the salon, with an optional override per location. Five fields: the free-cancellation window before the appointment, a late-cancellation fee, a no-show fee, the share of a paid deposit forfeit on a no-show (0 % to 100 %), and the text clients read before they pay.
When a client cancels from their booking link, they see the exact fee or refund for that moment before they confirm. Cancelling before the cutoff is free; cancelling on or after it applies your fees.
